A much-travelled Spanish striker who signed a two year contract after a trial spell in the 2007/08 pre-season, Arrieta was one of three players signed by BEST Holdings during their failed takeover talks. Arrieta made his debut as a substitute on the opening day of the season at Northampton, but despite a striker shortage, could not break into the first eleven - the only start he made came in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy in September, when he netted a superb overhead kick in a 4-1 win. This proved to be his last action in a Town shirt though - after the protracted BEST talks collapsed, Arrieta was restricted to reserve outings - and he eventually agreed to terminate his contract in January, after which he moved to Romania.
