An experienced lower league defender, Baudry joined Town on a one year deal after he was released by Milton Keynes Dons ahead of the 2019/20 season, with manager Richie Wellens pointing to his experience being promoted from League Two with both MK and Doncaster as a key factor in his signing.

With a history of injury problems before joining Town, Baudry never managed to string together long runs of appearances in a red shirt, but played 26 games in his first season, and captained the side during the long-term absence of club captain Dion Conroy. Nicknamed 'Frenchie' by his imaginative teammates, he was a key part of Wellens' League Two winning side, mostly alongside Zeki Fryers in the heart of the Town defence, the club rewarding him with a new two year contract extension.

The 2020/21 season was a step backwards for Baudry - his injury problems rearing their head and restricting him to only sixteen starts, although he did score his first Town goal in a 4-2 win over Burton Albion. After succumbing to injury again at the turn of the year, after four months out, he was brought back into the starting eleven by caretaker manager Tommy Wright against his former side MK Dons at the end of April - clearly not ready, he was substituted after just 27 minutes, with the Town already 2-0 down and heading for a 5-0 defeat and confirmed relegation back to League Two.

One of only a handful of players to remain over the summer, Baudry started the opening game of the 2021/22 season almost by default - but a hamstring injury picked up in the following game in the League Cup at Cambridge saw him withdrawn before half-time, and after a month out through injury, by the time he returned, there were others ahead of him in the pecking order. Baudry came back into the fray in October, but after winning the man-of-the-match display against Bradford, a hip injury forcing him off at Crewe saw him sidelined again for three more months.

With Baudry openly discussing what seemed to be his inevitable retirement, he seemed set to play only a bit-part role in the rest of the season - but injuries to loan players saw him thrust into the first team once more - and he experienced somewhat of a renaissance, with a number of impressive performances - and a rare goal in a 3-0 win at Hartlepool - helping the Town to seal a place in the play-offs. Though the play-off campaign was ultimately unsuccessful for Swindon, Baudry's form was rewarded with a contract extension, which he signed to take him to the end of the 2022/23 season.

Baudry’s final season in Town colours was also heavily injury disrupted, initially by a hip injury before his career was ended by an ACL injury picked up in a behind-closed-doors friendly against Newport in December. He finished up having played only 77 games over four seasons in SN1, but was often spoken of as a positive influence off the field and on younger players.
