Joining Town’s academy as a first year scholar after being released by Tottenham, young midfielder Jaxon Brown quickly became a key part of Sean Wood’s very successful youth team, and was named amongst the substitutes three times at the end of the 2022/3 season without making a debut. In his second year, he was part of Town’s FA Youth Cup run to the quarter final, made his first start for Town in the Football League Trophy draw against Arsenal U23s and his league debut as a 91st minute substitute against Accrington: a game in which Town managed to concede two goals in injury time and very nearly a third which would have completed throwing away a 4-1 lead going into the 95th minute. Whilst Brown was nowhere near as culpable as some of the senior players around him in the panic, it will not be a debut he looks back on with a great deal of pride.

His excellent performances for the academy side won Brown a two-year professional contract, signed at the end of the 2023/4 season. He’ll be looking to continue his development and begin making an impact in the professional game.
