International career

The goalkeeper signed in September 1947 after a spell with Bristol City. Ferguson is the oldest player to ever feature for Swindon Town - playing his seven games aged 44 years old, in a navy blue (perhaps Scottish) jersey! Ferguson was second choice to Frank Boulton throughout the 1947/48 campaign and was surplus to requirements once Sam Burton re-established himself at the club, after his National Service had ended.
