A youth team midfielder handed a one-year professional deal ahead of the 2020/21 season, Giamattei was twice named on the bench in the EFL Trophy but didn’t make an appearance for Town before being released at the end of his first contract. He’d been at the club since the age of thirteen, having left Reading to join his older brother Paolo in Town’s youth system.
