Congolese international central midfielder Linganzi was signed after his release from Portsmouth, ahead of Town’s return to League Two in 2017. During a one-season stay at SN1, Linganzi made 29 appearances in all competitions, scoring four goals.
He made his Town debut at Carlisle on the first day of the season, partnering fellow new signing James Dunne in central midfield, and scored his first goal at Mansfield in October, stabbing home from a corner to open the scoring in a 3-1 win. He was a regular presence in the side for the first half of the season, but made only four starts in the new year with new signing Ollie Banks regularly preferred by new manager Phil Brown.
Linganzi was offered a new contract at the end of the season, but chose instead to join Salford City.
