A striker signed on a year's contract in August 2007 after a short trial spell, having seemingly being set to join Wrexham, Mohamed joined from Welsh Premier side Carmarthen Town, who he quit to pursue a career in professional football. He made his debut for the Town as a late substitute on the opening day of the 2007/08 season at Northampton, but didn't make his full debut for another two months, starting up front in a 3-1 home defeat by Cheltenham in the Johnstone's Paint Trophy.

It was another two months before Mohamed would feature in the first team again - when caretaker managers Dave Byrne and Ady Williams experimented in using him on the right side of a midfield five at Southend. The three starts he made in December from this position proved to be his last - new boss Maurice Malpas allowing Mohamed to join Torquay on a two month loan in January. Upon his return, Mohamed made just two more substitute appearances, and though he made it clear that he wanted to stay at the County Ground, Malpas did not renew his contract come the end of the season, and he signed for Conference outfit Forest Green Rovers in July 2008.
