An England under-19 international striker signed on an emergency loan for a month in March 2010 from West Ham, after injuries to Billy Paynter and Vincent Péricard, Nouble made his Town debut in a 1-1 draw against top-of-the-table Norwich City the day after his arrival. Though he injected pace into the Town’s attack, he looked raw and was dropped to the bench as soon as Paynter returned to action - and though his loan deal was extended until the end of the season, he made just one more start, failing to get on the scoresheet.
