A former England youth international, Ormonde-Ottewill (or BOO as he would be more commonly known) signed for Swindon Town in June 2015 on a free transfer, having spent many years at Arsenal where he was considered a hot prospect. Mike Calvin’s book about football scouting, ‘The Nowhere Men’, described BOO as "the best left sided prospect since Tom Walley converted Ashley Cole from a left winger to a left back."

BOO arrived at an uneasy period for Swindon, as they attempted to rebuild the squad having suffered an squad exodus of key players after the 2015 Play-Off loss to Preston North End, including the departure of left-sided loanees Harry Toffolo and Sam Ricketts.

In truth, Town failed to recover from the disappointment of Wembley with many of the new signings, including BOO, struggling to impress in a lacklustre side. Disruption behind-the-scenes with manager Mark Cooper getting sacked in October didn’t help matters, and BOO found himself out of the side under the brief tenure of Cooper’s successor, Martin Ling. However, Ling’s unexpected departure due to personal issues before the end of 2015 to give BOO the opportunity to get back into the side under Luke Williams.

He scored his first goal for Town in the 1-1 draw at Sheffield United, in January 2016, after a brilliant first touch took out the experienced defenders David Edgar and John Brayford, to give him the chance to put his shot past George Long for Town’s equaliser. Luke Williams proclaimed that the goal would "help his confidence no end" but, ultimately, BOO failed to build on that moment.

BOO’s Town career will probably be best remembered for an off-the-field incident in April 2016 after footage appeared on social media of him and teammates Drissa Traoré and Jeremy Balmy inhaling nitrous gas. The out-of-contract Traoré and Balmy would never play for Swindon again.

It would be perhaps unfair to single out BOO for his second season performances, but by this time he had failed to impress the Town fanbase and this didn’t change throughout the campaign - not helped by an comical late own goal that gave Bolton all three points at the County Ground in October. However, he wasn’t the only one who would suffer the derision of Town faithful as the club frustrated and struggled all season before relegation was later confirmed.

In March 2017, BOO was dropped from the first team alongside Lawrence Vigouroux and James Brophy as Williams questioned their commitment to Town’s attempts to prevent relegation and, despite a few games as an unused sub, never played for Swindon Town again having played 56 games in all competitions.

Upon his release from Swindon in the summer of 2017, BOO moved to the Netherlands where he featured in the Eerste Divisie with Helmond Sport, Dordrecht and Excelsior.
