A midfielder of Somalian descent, Said was offered his first professional contract in April 2011, having initially joined the club on a two year scholarship from Coventry. Shortly afterwards, a two-footed challenge in the Wiltshire Premier Shield final against Chippenham scuppered his chances of featuring in the final two games of the season - with Swindon already relegated, youth team boss and caretaker manager Paul Bodin admitting that Said would have featured had he been fit.
The injury kept Said out of the game for six months, and when he returned to fitness, he was allowed to join Hellenic League side Fairford on loan - a spell that ended with Said being sent off for questioning a decision by the referee in a 4-0 defeat against Shortwood. When he failed to get near the Town's first team for the remainder of the season, he was released when his contract came to an end.
