The captain of Swindon’s U18s during their heroic FA Youth Cup run to the quarter finals, Evans did not concede a goal until the 5th round game against Sunderland, including a particularly impressive game against Manchester United. Evans made his league debut on the final day of the 23/24 season against Morecambe as a 68th minute substitute, and conceded his first professional goal 20 minutes later. He was offered, and signed, a first professional contract at the end of the season.
